You can now define a retention percentage to withhold from each invoice sent to your clients. Set a single retention rate for all invoices or customize the percentage for each new invoice.

We have just rolled out some amazing updates to enhance your experience with our construction Takeoffs.

Here's what's new:

1. Move across your takeoff plan with the new "mouse click and hold" action.
2. Press and hold the Shift button while you click to select multiple items at once.
3. Zoom in and out of your takeoff plan with the new pinch-zoom gesture on your computer touchpad.
4. Place a rectangle by clicking to start, moving across the plan if needed, and then clicking again to save the rectangle.

When creating construction RFIs, you can assign them to related schedule, bid request (request for quotes), change order (variation), purchase order, selection, daily log (site diary), or to-do items. This can be done either to a single item or multiple items - there are no limitations here!

Information about the related items will be visible in the RFI list view under the "Related" column. From the RFI view, users who have access to the corresponding items can view them with just a click on the provided link.

Managing your files and folders in Buildern just got easier!

Here's the new stuff coming with our latest update:

1. Buildern now supports a wider variety of file types. Whether you're dealing with ZIP, HTML, RAR, or any other file type, you can easily upload and manage them within our platform.
2. Select multiple files and delete them in one go. Don't worry about losing anything by mistake - deleted files will be moved to the Deleted tab, where you can review and restore them if needed.

We've added a new field called "Daily Log/Site Diary Type" that allows you to sort and differentiate your daily logs/site diary. Each type can be customized with its unique description and used for specific purposes. Head over to the field settings in your Buildern account to create and manage your Daily Log/Site Diary Types.

We're super excited to announce some major updates to Buildern's schedules making them more efficient and user-friendly.

Here's what's new:

1. We've refreshed the look of your Schedule's list view! Apart from a sleeker design, we've added new columns, including schedule item ID and dependencies.
2. Now you can rearrange columns in your list view to suit your workflows.
3. Download your Schedule list view as a PDF file with all the settings and filters you've applied.

Ensuring the safety and privacy of your project data is our top priority. That's why our recent update allows you to set a PIN code when generating QR codes for your files and folders. This means that only those with the correct PIN will have access to your important documents.

How the new feature works:

• Set a PIN Code: You can now set a unique PIN code when you generate a QR code for a single or multiple files and folders.
• Secure Access: Anyone attempting to view the files and folders via the QR code will need to enter the PIN code first.
• Browser Memory: The system remembers the browsers, so the same users won't have to enter the PIN code again the next time they scan the QR code. However, if the initial PIN gets updated, they must re-enter it.

From now on, projects in Buildern can be synced with Xero's Tracking Categories. This means that bills brought to Xero from Buildern will be much easier to track and manage across projects.

No Impact on Non-Tracking Category Users

For those of you who don’t use the tracking category in Xero, rest assured, this update will not affect your current setup. You can continue using Buildern and Xero as you always have without any changes or disruptions.

Client Synchronization with Xero Contacts

Along with the new project synchronization approach, this latest update also ensures that clients in Buildern will be synced and matched with the contacts in Xero. This improvement means client invoices generated in Buildern will now automatically include the corresponding client's name when sent to Xero.

No more rounding errors! Our latest update allows you to add taxes with decimal ten-thousandths precision. This means you can now manage your finances more accurately, ensuring every cent is accounted for.

The same update applies to your purchase orders. Enter numbers with decimal ten-thousandths in your purchase order quantity and unit cost fields.

We have updated the column settings in your schedule. You can now configure and set different column settings individually for the mobile and web views, as well as for the Gantt charts and lists.

Additionally, we have revamped the schedule view in our mobile application to make it more user-friendly.

Buildern users can generate unique QR codes for their files and folders!

The new feature allows you to generate QR codes for separate files and folders, download them as PDF files, and print them. This is incredibly useful on the job site, where quick access to information is essential. Additionally, for greater efficiency, you can generate QR codes in bulk for multiple files and folders and receive all the codes compiled into a single PDF file.
